About
Robyn Fenton is a Registered Architect in BC.Her architectural career spans over 20 years, providing full services for residential, commercial and community projects at a variety of scales. She has been registered since 2011 and principal at her own firm since 2013. Her current work focusses on small-scale residential and commercial projects, feasibility studies, mentoring and consulting.Robyn’s neurodiversity lends itself to exploring a variety of interests – all of which have synthesized into a unique set of skills and adaptability to a variety of endeavours.Training and courses include:

Robyn is the principal at Robyn Fenton Architect Ltd.She provides services to clients in the Metro Vancouver, Sea-to-Sky Region, Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island.Her current work focusses on small-scale residential and commercial projects, feasibility studies, mentoring and consulting.

Consulting
Robyn provides consulting services based on her 20+ years of experience as an architect, and her diverse training and skill set:• Locum-Architect: providing short-term coverage for architects in small firms for holiday or medical leave.
• Expert Witness: providing independent, unbiased assessment of evidence of architectural matters, including written reports.
• Mentoring: providing mentoring and guidance for interns when the firm’s architects are over capacity – specializing in providing guidance in contract administration processes during the construction phase.

Community
Facilitation & Community Engagement
Robyn has extensive experience in engagement processes at both community-level events and with small, invited interest-holder groups.Community Housing
Robyn is passionate about housing for all. She leads BIRCH – Bowen Island Resilient Community Housing Society - a nonprofit housing organization on Bowen Island.Emergency Management
Robyn is one of the authors of the ‘British Columbia Post-Disaster Building Assessment Framework and Recommendations’. She continues to work in the Emergency Management sector as the Architecture Institute of BC’s Post-Disaster Liaison, representing the organization on the Provincial Post-Disaster Building Assessment (PDBA) Advisory Group.Regulatory Investigations
Robyn serves on the AIBC Investigation Committee; a statutory committee whose mandate includes ensuring the complaints and investigations process is transparent, objective, impartial, fair, and allows for thorough, evidence based and proportionate responses to complaints.
